Having owned this car for 3 years and it's nearly a classic . I cannot really fault it starts 1st time every time great fun to drive having 154 bhp . seats are very comfortable although not much room in the back for passengers but has a large boot with seats down . No rust issues thanks to previous owner who looked after it . great cars if looked after .

Look good, worth the money.

I have had my car for 2 years, the car is very reliable. I have never had any issues with the car at all. The car is very good at handling but hasn’t got that much power that you would assume it has by looking at the sporty shape.  Comfort is alright for short distances, at one point I had to drive from Newcastle upon Tyne to Portsmouth my butt literally became numb due to bumpy suspension and so uncomfortable seats. I would also advise not to assume you have a four sitter as the back seats are not comfortable enough for average hight adults.  With that being said, when buying a sporty coupe car you can’t really be expecting 100 % comfort, I totally recommend buying this car especially if you love sporty cars.

Appauled at this service.

I am very dissatisfied with the service I chosen to with AA car to provide good results on car listed around my area. I contacted the office in which is dealing with the car. I attempted to contact them over multiple days with regards to purchasing and I did not get no reply whatsoever. Once they got back in touch, via SMS to say "car already sold" yet it is still advertised on AA website? How are you able to provide a customer with a good experience when systems aren't updated? Communication between the AA and other private dealers seems very distant and would not recommend anyone close unfortunately. I applied for finance also through your website, and also been harassed near enough everyday about finance for a car eventhough the car had already been sold? I will be expecting a response. Thanks.

I've had my 16yrs old Coupe for 12yrs and still love her sporty shape and looks. I'd wanted one ever since being lent one as a courtesy car, driven family and friends mad with 'I really want one' 'til someone said So buy one! Good on petrol and rarely needing oil, big boot and enough room in the back for 2 adults (if they can get in past the front seats) She's never let me down unless some other idiot pranged me or due to circumstances out of my control (flying debris on motorway). She has a service every year and the usual regular checks. A little body work is now needed but will be under £150. Only thing now is that the 4 Grandchildren won't all fit in at the same time but that's hardly the cars fault! She's now 16yrs old and all in all my best car ever, long may I drive her.

Comfortable with all mod cons.

I've had this car since 2008, when it was 5 years old, and it had been waiting to be sold for nearly a year. My financial advisor had previously owned one and had chosen it because it had all the toys you'd expect, such as air-con and cruise control, at a reasonable price. In fact, by the time the car is 5 years old they were less than a third of their RRP so represented good value second-hand. I usually expect to have to change brake pads, brake disks, tyres, and exhaust during car ownership. Interestingly, the stainless steel exhaust has not had to be changed, at least not yet. I had to change the disks and pads almost immediately, with 29,000 miles on the clock. That gave me an opportunity to fit Rossini grooved and drilled disks and high-performance pads, purely for safety, as I'm not a heavy braker and have only had to change the pads again recently at around 90,000 miles, and the disks are fine. I have had more fun with brake calipers: I have had to swap out both rear calipers, one twice, for sticking. Not sure what's going on there. I've also had to swap out a window winder motor and the central locking system was flakey for a while, plus the rear door release is tetchy. All of these items meet in the same place: the driver's door, so having had some work done in there initially to replace a broken mirror, I suspect it didn't all go back together properly. The rear window heating elements disintegrated one day when I got a lot of condensation in there and wiped it off, quite gently I thought, so don't go near that. I remedied that with a moisture absorbing pad that I keep on the back shelf. Spare parts tend to be quite expensive, and main dealer hourly rates are quite high, so although I was getting the car's yearly service and MOT done at the main dealer, I now prefer to use independent garages for the simpler work. If the check engine light or ABS light comes on (I've had both now), best let the main dealer sort it out, though it took 6 visits to identify that the exhaust flex pipe had a small tear and was causing a pressure imbalance. Swapping out expensive sensors is not the answer, I've had that happen twice and it wasn't the cause. The sensors should be more robust than the system they're monitoring, and I believe that generally they are. We swapped out an ABS sensor (difficult!) and it turned out that the miniscule ABS receptor ring in the hub was broken, probably courtesy of a local pot-hole. The engine has been totally reliable so far. Not having a turbo helps this. My previous car had a turbo, which causes higher maintenance, shorter service periods and was expensive to fix. This car hasn't the same power, but the 2-litre edition has enough power over the 1.6 edition, and less tax than the 2.7 monster. I would recommend changing the oil twice yearly although the service interval is yearly, and it seems to run smoother with the recommended 10/30 oil than the 10/40 that Hyundai keep putting in. I can also tell that performance is better and smoother with 97 RON fuel so tend to use that. It's about 8p a litre more expensive but you get 5% better mileage, over 8 miles to the litre, up tp 10 on the motorway. So, you get air-con, and a sun-roof so you have options, cruise control, electric just about everything (heated seats are an option though), and it starts every time (though beware of the usual flooding issue if you just run it out of the garage for a wash and back in - it won't thank you for that, take it for a short spin to warm up). Paint-work has remained shiny except a couple of spots of rust that appeared in front of the rear wheels and around the rear door lock. Pretty happy with the car as a vehicle that has lasted well and got through MOTs fairly painlessly. It has had its electrical issues with doors, but generally behaves itself impeccably on the roads.

I bought this car 3 years ago after killing my previous car (not my fault) and desperately needed another car to get to work. Managed to get a loan whilst the insurance was sorted & this was the best available locally. Extremely comfortable to drive in both stop/start commuting and long distance driving. Handles perfectly; always goes just where you point her. Boot space is enough to shop for months, even with the back seats up. Back seats not too easy to get in and out of if you're not young & skinny, but perfectly comfortable when you're there. Averaging 35/40 mpg even commuting. Road tax extortionate @ £270. Insurance is very reasonable. Looks great. Should have got one before.

Too early to make an educated judgement/summary for this vehicle? I was very happy with the efforts made by the dealer and their sales manager. I had a minor problem with the battery which was resolved with a simple phone call to the dealer. I would definitely recommend the dealer to anyone who is thinking of buying a second hand car!

My Hyundai Coupe is great fun to drive with a real sporty feel. The running costs are a little on the high side, my first service (it was 10 years old when I purchased it) was over a 1,000 pounds> I think West London Motor Group are a bit on the pricey side having done some mystery shopping by taking quotes from another Hyundai garage. They should give servicing discounts for older cars like my previous BMW garage did. The car had a few faults that needed sorting, wheel balance issues due to worn front discs and the engine check light comes on due to an intermittent electrical fault. However it has been very reliable and for a sports car is comfy and has a big boot!

The car has an excellent, sporty look. It is extremely reliable - with no work to do outside the regular service. Only wear and tear issues. It is quite a hard drive, you do tend to feel all the bumps in the road. It is great for motorway/distance driving, less good on county roads or in city car-parks, where a good degree of manoeuvring is required. It is quite expensive to run - high road tax, not very good fuel economy, but I do love driving it.

I bought my car in January 2002, after a 6 month search. I had a major road traffic accident in 1979, and cannot bear to be too near the windscreen, so this was perfect. I feel safe, protected and secure in my Hyundai. The road holding is excellent, in any weather. Since I bought her, she has passed every MOT until this year, so I consider the cash spent (nearly £1000) to get her through still only worked out around £100 per year, apart from the usual tyres, wipers etc. I also expect to have more happy motoring years with my lovely Hyundai.
