Coupe Cars
'Coupe' comes from the French for 'cut' - and was first used to describe a horse-drawn carriage with an enclosed space for two passengers and no rear-facing seats. With the emergence of the car, the term has evolved to mean a two-door vehicle with a closed body and (usually) only two seats. But this has further progressed as there are more used coupe car options to choose from.
Manufacturers have evolved the coupe design over the years, offering coupes with 4 seats and even 4 doors. Yes, there are some rare coupe-like sedans with 4-doors on offer. They look the part with a sloping roofline and a sharp design but sacrifices with some practicality, mostly in the form of reduced headroom due to the roofline.
