SEAT Ibiza reviews

I bought the car based upon the recommendations of a friend who owned one. Best thing I ever did, in all the years I have had it, so far, there have been no serious machanical issues; and it has now done over 100,000miles. A full tank will give me just under 500 miles (obviously dependent upon traffic conditions). The great thing about the car was that it came with a full spec of extras, at no additional cost. Primarily because Seat were looking to increase ther market share, against their competitors. Although not the fastest car around by any means, it holds its own on the motorway, were the acceleration at the higher speeds is far more responsive. Regularly serviced, the only things I have to buy regualarly, are two new tyres; once every two years.

Has a Satnav that has blue tooth capabilities with alloy wheels is fast smooth and comfortable with a Volkswagan Engine. It is sporty stylish comfortable but like most cars has no spare wheel and need aq service every 10000 miles.

A safe, reliable family hatchback. Poke where it is needed and yet economic. Large spacious doors, large enough boot for a weekly shop. Bad points..lacks interior stowage (ie underseat tray) Dash quite dim on daily running .. need to have side lights and dash on all day in one colour and headlights on in another colour. (White / green.) Modern design, at 65 I am called trendy (compliment really). Car is suited to older, and younger, generations because of it's flowing design. Love to help design the next generation of the Seat with even better ideas. Door grab handles badly placed (need to slam shut). Like to see available a set of front seat headrests with video screens incorporated but concealed. Few more MP3 jack points in back for the kids. Apart from that a well thought out vehicle, good value, easy to drive and above all that ... a great yehaw factor. Well done VW.

Great little car. Good acceleration and quite fast. Economical with good handling. Comfort isn't too bad for a small card but it has quite hard suspension.

I have had several faults with this car bought new- serviced as specified, crack in the fuel tank, ceased brakes, valve problem, ballbearing failure. Bought from a dealer with an extended warranty who have been difficult to deal with - repairs taking several attempts and having to negotiate responsibility for faults.

This Seat Ibiza is my third in a row so I think that speaks for itself. I would like cheaper road fund licence so that is what I will look for on my next car. I expect the newer Seat models have lower emissions so may be cheaper. The car is roomy enough for four adults and luggage and small enough to park easily. Power steering, air con anti lock brakes and twin air bags are things that I always look for so the Ibiza suits me. Seat assist is normally given on purchase for a few years so that saves on AA cost. Insurance is reasonable and servicing not to high.

My Seat is comfortable, safe and easy to drive. The heating system is good and changes quickly to the required temperature. The 1.4 engine allows me to overtake very quickly should the need arise.

I brought the car when 3 years old and love it, I would and have recommended the Ibiza to several people. When I change my car in the next 3 - 5 years I fully intend to buy another Ibiza. Running costs including road tax are reasonable and it's very easy to maintain, no major issues only the usual wear & tear on the vehicle. Highly Recommend to anyone, would be a great first car.
