Super Japanese Hatchback
Added: 14th of October 2013
The late '90s was a 'golden generation' for Japanese hatchbacks and this is one is no exception. Pros: low running costs (36mpg); super reliable; deceptively spacious; comfortable cruising at motorway speed and around town; looks stylish even now. Cons: standard headlights poor; rear windscreen at a shallow angle so rear visibility harder than it might be if you're not confident reversing for example; boot lip is high for loading / unloading. A far more original choice than a Focus or Golf which are its rivals and will turn heads in the way the other two can only dream of.
