Ford ‘touch-up’ Focus

Ford’s head of styling Martin Smith has put pen to paper and created a new vision for the one of the UK’s most popular family cars – the Ford Focus.

Taking its inspiration from the new Ford Mondeo, the Focus will still sport the trademark twin air intakes, as well as recessed head-lamps and lower spotlights, while the bonnet design is also reminiscent of the Mondeo.

Mr Smith has decided to give the updated Ford Focus a much more sporty feel to it by adding features such as the larger side skirts and flared wheelarches.

The interior design will also benefit from a makeover with the dashboard taking on a more luxurious look and elements of the Human Machine Interface cabin control system that is incorporated in the Mondeo will be utilised in the Focus.

This new version of the Focus will be showcased for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany in September, this year.
