The road feels greasy after having new tyres fitted

I've just had new tyres fitted to my car and it feels very strange - as though the road surface is greasy.

New tyres still have a thin layer of mould-release agent which wears off on the road surface.

The structure and tread are also quite stiff and take a while to settle in, so drive with extra caution for the first 200 miles.
