Overall rating 4.5/5The Tucson first arrived in 2004 as a family-focused SUV, at the time launching just with four-wheel-drive. Slotting beneath the larger Santa Fe, it offered plenty of room and a bargain price. Somewhat confusingly the second-generation Tucson was instead known as the iX35 in Europe, before Hyundai returned to the same nameplate as before in 2015. This third-gen model was quite a big step up, bringing more modern looks and a more upmarket interior.
The Tucson has been a core part of the Hyundai range for a number of years, but it’s this third-generation car - made between 2015 and 2020 - which struck a chord with drivers. Well-equipped and comfortable, the Tucson is great for on-the-go drivers who want a car that can do it all. Given its popularity, the Tucson is also an easy car to find on the used market and you should be able to find one that fits your budget.
