Mazda has announced that an equipment upgrade has been carried out on its MX-5 Roadster Coupe range, installing iPod connectivity as standard.
The manufacturer will also be offering an iPod Nano to all buyers of the model. The player can be mounted in the glove compartment and music can be played through the car’s audio system.
Rob Lindley, managing director of Mazda UK, said: "We are delighted to announce this upgrade for the 2007 Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe.
"Demand for this new model is very strong and will be boosted further by equipping every Roadster Coupe with both iPod connectivity and an Apple iPod Nano as standard."
Mr Lindley also pointed out that the car was nominated as ‘roadster of the year 2006’ by Top Gear magazine – the second year in a row Mazda has been recognised with the award, having won last year with the MX-5 soft-top.
MX-5 Roadster Coupe buyers have a choice of a 1.8i or 2.0i powertrain with a five-speed gearbox or a 2.0i sport engine with a six-speed gearbox.
