Owner reviews for the Volvo V60

Overall rating 3.5/5A member of the old guard in the Volvo range, the V60 bears many of the stereotypical characteristics that Volvos tend to be associated with. Fairly boxy, spacious and safe, it is a positively sensible estate, but like the rest of the Volvo range, recent years has seen it redesigned into something more chic.

The V60's exterior is today more muscular; stylish, even. It still bears those typically middle-aged characteristics however; it has a 430 litre boot, it is efficient and economic (a diesel-electric hybrid is available offering 150mpg), and it is incredibly safe (new models include in-built obstacle detection which will sense objects in the road and brake for them accordingly). Predictably, it is also very refined and comfortable to drive, and while not overly sporty it is still enjoyable - which suggests that, although it may look sexier than ever before, it is still sensibly middle-aged.
