The GR86 followed in the footsteps of the GT86 as a thoroughly updated version of the sportscar co-developed with Subaru. Although it was largely perfect, the GT 86 had some minor flaws which were ironed out in the GR86.
The most noticeable changes were the design transformations along with more poke from the 2.4-litre boxer four-cylinder engine that now develops 231 hp and 250Nm of twist, a step up from the GT86 This coupled with the tweaks to the chassis and the interior results in a car that embodies the very essence of a sports car. It might not necessarily be the fastest car out there but in terms of feel, feedback and precision, the GR86 is a masterclass.
