Overall rating 4.5/5If there's a single car which can claim to be responsible for the changing reputation of Skoda over the last few years, it's the Octavia. With a 560 litre boot in the saloon, a range of VW Group engines under the bonnet and a sophisticated design, it gives its rivals a real run for their money; especially considering the Octavia's meagre price tag. Engine and trim levels range, but opt for the 1.8 litre petrol and you'll cruise along with the best of them, while a frugal diesel will keep run costs low.
