A sizeable family saloon - which, with Twindoor technology, features a boot that opens as a hatchback as well as a saloon - the Superb is a sophisticated, refined and surprisingly affordable car. Space inside is cavernous, particularly in the rear seats which provide plenty of room for even the tallest to stretch out. Along with good equipment levels, the car's interior is decked out to a high standard, which, like the drive - refined, powerful and pleasing - is comfortable and sophisticated. Looks-wise there may not be too much to excite, but given that it's designed to cruise rather than set hearts alight, this is likely to be only a minor gripe.
