Overall rating 4/5Whether you're getting it as a hatchback, estate or coupe, the Laguna delivers a confident drive and a well-built, comfortable cabin. The Renault Laguna aims to take the stress out of everyday driving. It was the first car to score a five-star Euro NCAP rating, and it combines that safety with comfort and efficiency. Originally known as a roomy family car with plenty of clever kit, later models – like the 2007–2012 versions – stepped up the quality, technology and engine performance, helping it stand out against other large hatchbacks such as the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Insignia. While older models can be less reliable or have stiffer handling and less rear space than some rivals, it remains a quintessentially practical car, especially the Sport Tourer estate. The Laguna could be exactly what you need for long commutes or family trips.
