Fantastic One Off Example..
We are pleased to offer this excellent example of the Volkswagen Golf VR6 which has benefited from much improvement and preventative maintenance. Finished in Mystic Blue metallic and fitted with a two tone blue over black Colour Concept dealer's website with a photographic record of its recommissioning. This 3 owner VR6 has an interesting back story. Ordered new by a British Forces member whilst stationed in Zimbabwe so they may take advantage of the tax relief offered whilst stationed abroad. The car was delivered new and first registered in the UK in Aug 1998. The first owner kept the car for approximately five years. The second owner purchased the car in about 2002. At this point many of the vehicles upgrades were undertakenShortly after the vehicles owner stopped driving and put the car in dry storage at his premises.There the car lay for some 14 years until circa 2018 when the third owner viewed and purchased the property. After making enquiries about the car in the garage they subsequently purchased that also.The third owner (a mechanical engineer) set about a full mechanical overhaul and upgrade which included the replacement of the timing chain and a new upgraded head gasket. We have a photographs showing everything that was undertaken and the end results. During his time with the car it is thought he covered less than 1000 miles despite investing many £000s in the recommissioning.Originally supplied as a VR6 in Mystic Blue metallic, at some point the car was upgraded to a full Colour Concept interior. This included extended leather to the doors, dash and centre console.The wheels are a really smart set of BBS bolted cross spoke which have been colour coded to match the Mystic blue paint.Other expensive upgrades include a Schrick intake manifold, Remus cat back exhaust and a light upgrade.A fresh service and mot will be carried out before a sale is concluded.
