Owner reviews for the Suzuki Grand Vitara

Overall rating 4/5
Suzuki is an expert in creating affordable 4x4s, and the Vitara is perhaps its best example of this. Coming with generous levels of standard equipment and low running costs, the Vitara is a left-field alternative to popular models like the Ford Puma and Nissan Juke.

Overall rating 4/5Launched in 1988, the Vitara has become a key part of Suzuki's line-up as an affordable 4x4 that doesn't compromise on off-roading ability. Launched in three-door form, a five-door model would join the line-up a few years later, and for a few generations, the name changed to the Grand Vitara.
The current, most popular generation reached showrooms in 2015, offering a more modern design inside and out, and it's proven a hit with customers - helped by front-wheel-drive versions to appeal to those looking for a crossover, but not fussed about any extra off-roading ability. Mild-hybrid engines were launched in 2020, while in 2022 Suzuki introduced a 'Full Hybrid' for customers wanting to take a step closer to an EV.
