With the option of just a 1.0 litre, 67bhp engine, the Alto doesn't cope too well outside of urban roads, nor at speeds towards the top of the road legal limit, but that is not to suggest that it isn't fun. Nimble handling and a tiny turning circle make it an agile and fun car to drive, if somewhat limited to manageable roads. Fuel efficiency is enviable however, and the average miles per gallon returns are around the mid 60s, making it a very economic car to run.
