A good old work horse but not a car to rave over

VERY NICE CAR. I CAN GET MY THREE DOGS IN AND AWAY I GO.

engine lacks some grunt on steep hills but mph is very good , also cruise control is very good.

A small car which is underpowered. However for about town running and commuting this vehicle provides a very economical, albeit not very comfortable mode of transport. Cheap to buy, cheap to run ideal run-around.

battery failed after 4years. 2alternators replaced. 2 engine cut out solenoids all high priced items so running costs high apart from that ok

My Astra 1.6 SRI is a reliable comfortable car. It is flexible when driving round town yet with cruise control it is a fast car for traveling on motorways and dual carriageways. It is cheap to maintain and the road tax will reduce a little when the changes come into effect next year. There are enough devices fitted as standard to give me a sense of luxury, without providing so many that I'll never use them all. My accolade is that my next car will be an updated version of the same model.

I purchased this car 5 weeks ago & very pleased with its performance.

This car has been falling apart for as long as I've had it but it's all I can afford and love it like a smelly wet dog that I've had since birth. It'll likely die soon as when at a stand still the radiator heat peaks within minutes and every other day I hear something fall from it but it's my only transport and is the best I can buy for the £600 we spent.

can travel 200 mile in reasonable comfort,on journeys at steady speeds economy is good but drops around town but is acceptable. very spacious interior especially the boot area, engine has room to be worked on in some comfort

Can stall in second gear at 20 mph. Often stalls. Garages say it's the only car they have that they stall. The brakes are very sharp at low speed. Bought from new . I was told that if a fault was not found I wold have to pay. Would not recommend any Vauxhall after this experience.

The Astra is a very reliable car and cheap to run.

Nice fast comfortable car , economic,lovely in the summer,normal running compares to most car s. And the biggest boot in it's class.

Im so pleased i choose this car, thanks to aa cars i was able to find the car i wanted. None of my local garages had any and couldnt get hold of the one i was after. When in the car theres a solid robust feel, it has great pulling power with it been diesel and is great in fuel economy. Plenty space with a great sized boot. Overall a great family car.

very smart looking car spacious comfortable good all rounder cheap to run

This car is low mileage and has been very well kept by it's previous owner. All around smooth drive and has all the mod-cons. It actually feels a lot newer than 2007. So far, no complaints, maybe I need a year so to give a more up to date appraisal.

This is the best car I've ever had I am well impressed a approved garages you really do need to go to them and you get a years AAA membership throning what more can you ask thank you

Seats are unconfortable and drivers seat half leather half hard cloth which hurts the back of my leg. Windows open half way and unlocks the car on its own after locking it very worrying. The auto gear box does not drop down gears when you need to overtake straight away. The electric handbrake has a mind of its own. Theres a rattle somewhere in the roof lining. These are the bad points and would like to say something about the good points but there are none. Truly a horrible car

Purchased vehicle to cut road tax costs,and fuel bills,went down from a luxury car to what is now practicle vehicle for my needs car seats very comfy,build quality very good feels solid, nice cabin interior,great radio,air con works fine,good firm ride,good roadholding,great gearbox,little bit underpowered going uphill,but then its what you expect,goes great on motorways,no wind noise,which lots of people said was problem,nice soundproof cabin,good size boot,great for dogs,plenty of room with rear seats down,so far i cannot fault this vehicle
