Vehicle details
1995 TVR Chimera 4.0 HC (High Compression). Finished in metallic red with grey alloy wheels and contrasting leather interior. 4.0 Rover derived high compression V8 is a joy to behold and coupled to a manual 5 speed gearbox with a very short and precise shift. Has an aftermarket immobiliser fitted and a Bluetooth retro head unit with DAB capability. The Chimera is a very quirky car with most of the switches hidden from sight, it will take a little time to learn where they all are if you have never been around one before, thankfully comes with the factory hand book. It has a massive history file with a lot of invoices, old MOTs and even old tax discs. Drives superbly with none of the restraints that more modern competitors have. Puts its power down very well and is not twitchy or unsettled easily. Ride is compliant and not harsh due to its lack of weight. The driving position is snug once you manage to squeeze in but the seats are extremely comfortable, the gear lever is exactly where you want it and the beautiful Personal steering wheel is the finishing touch making the car feel very special. The soft top is actually a solid targa panel with a folding rear section. The large panel stores in the boot and you can raise the rear section if you want the targa or convertible look and it is all manual so nothing to go wrong. Parts for this model are mainly from Ford, Vauxhall and Rover so are available from numerous suppliers. A very good looking British sports car with immense character that is capable of putting a smile on your face every time you drive it, that will not cost you a fortune to run and keep on the road that will surely appreciate in the future.
