A number of used Volkswagen Golf fans got to sample the delights of celebrity chef Nigel Smith as he recently helped launch the arrival of the sixth generation of the model.
The Birmingham Mail reports that the chef conjured up roast goosnargh duck and strawberry panna cotta for over 100 guests, who turned up to view the launch at the Washford Drive retailer in Redditch.
Not only were the guests able to try the chef’s food first hand, they also got the chance to inspect the latest Golf, which is available to buyers in three trim levels GT, S and SE.
According to the publication, Simon Volans, brand manager of Redditch Volkswagen, said: "The new Golf marks a new era for Volkswagen and Nigel made it a night to remember."
BBC television show Top Gear stated in a review of the Volkswagen Golf that it had "great seats, a supple ride and fine refinement".
Furthermore, the vehicle was a "top all-rounder" and generally a "good place to be".
