The SEAT Arona at a glance

The Seat Arona is the smallest SUV in the brand’s range, but it manages to offer a little more space than you might expect. Used examples are easy to find, too, and because of the Arona’s value-orientated starting price when new, you’ll find that second-hand examples are very friendly to the finances.

As with the Ibiza, the Arona was launched with a range of engines designed to offer good levels of efficiency while the interior was designed to offer decent levels of space in a car without overly large exterior proportions.

When viewing a used SEAT Arona, check the service history and make sure the 1.0 TSI or 1.5 TSI petrol engine runs smoothly. Diesel models need regular longer journeys to help prevent diesel particulate filter issues. On a test drive, DSG automatic versions should shift cleanly without hesitation or jerking. Also check the touchscreen, rear light clusters for condensation, and any panoramic roof drains if fitted.
