The i10 is able to stand out in a crowded field, which includes the likes of the Kia Picanto and Toyota Aygo, to be a credible choice for anyone wanting a dependable everyday run-around.

However, since launching back in 2009, that is exactly what the Hyundai i20 has managed to do. The current car offers bold styling, generous equipment levels, and technology pulled straight from Hyundai’s more premium larger models, which all come together to offer a genuine alternative to the more established Corsa.. Despite the changes, the i20 has never lost sight of what made it good in the first place – class-leading practicality and dependable engineering. This has only been helped by a 2023 facelift, meaning that the i20 represents a very strong proposition for any urban drivers.

  The second generation Kona built on the work of Hyundai’s original, increasing the size of its popular compact SUV to ensure it is safer, more practical and more comfortable to use as an everyday family car. In fact, the Kona was originally conceived as an electric-first model, but the South Korean marque developed petrol and hybrid options alongside it in order to broaden its appeal. The sharp, futuristic exterior styling will divide opinion and the lower-powered petrol options require a fair degree of patience, but the Kona is otherwise an affordable and practical small family car that’s built tough and features Hyundai’s latest infotainment technology.
