Suzuki wins manufacturer of the year award

The AM Awards 2007 has named Suzuki GB manufacturer of the year.

AM magazine is described as one of Europe’s leading automotive trade publications and Suzuki states that the accolade is a "ringing endorsement" of its product delivery strategy.

Stephen Briers, editor of the magazine, pointed out that the manufacturer was up against stiff opposition, in the form of Audi, Fiat, Honda, Lexus and Toyota among others.

Mr Briers said that the popularity of such models as the Swift, Grand Vitara and the SX4 combined with competitive prices have kept Suzuki at the top of the list for dealer value.

David Seward, sales and marketing director for Suzuki, commented: "We are extremely delighted with this award, which recognises the growing strength of the Suzuki brand in the marketplace.

"The Grand Vitara, SX4 and Swift have all been well-received and our growth is set to continue with the launch of another exciting new model later in the year, together with further product introductions between 2008 and 2010."

Mr Seward also praised Suzuki’s dealers, saying that surveys have shown them to be among the best in the industry for providing customer satisfaction.
