Peugeot has given details of its new 407 SW Sport XS, saying that the car is "dressed to thrill" with a new trim level.
The model’s new sport styling is designed to offer drivers a more "distinctive visual treatment", with the new features on offer including 18-inch alloy wheels, front bumper spoilers, a rear tailgate spoiler, a sports mesh front grille and twin sports exhausts.
Zino half-leather upholstery will be fitted in the car’s interior as standard, while on the outside four metallic colours will be available – onyx black, aluminium, iron grey and halcyon blue.
Additional factory options available to order include the new RT4 multimedia system and either mistral black or cerbere red leather upholstery.
Under the bonnet of the new Peugeot is a 2.2-litre, HDi diesel engine, which utilises the latest advancements in diesel technology and offers good fuel economy. It also represents the fourth phase of cooperation between Peugeot and Ford.
The manufacturer’s work on diesel engines has also given rise to a twin-turbocharged, parallel sequential induction system, which offers "unrivalled levels of power and responsiveness, even at low revs".
A maximum speed of 137mph is achievable with the 407 SW, as well as 45.5mpg on a combined drive cycle.
