I have owned 8 golfs and have loved every one of them. They do everything I need them to do. Each newer car I have bought has been improved and I have been very happy driving them. They may be expensive to buy but are worth every penny spent.

I downsized from a big 2.5 V6 to a 1.4 Golf, so it took a bit of getting used to. My Golf has DSG with paddle-shift and the 1.4 engine is pretty nippy so I can vary my driving style. I can leave it in auto and drive gently (and very economically) or, especially on my own on cross-country drives, put it in "manual" and drive it briskly - but still get good economy. I've done long drives and it is really comfortable. I've humped around loads of DIY stuff because the boot is a good size. I average 40mpg, which I'm happy with.

Superb car. This is the fourth golf I've owned and I love it.

I've had the car for nearly 6 months. It's more comfortable, more economical, and more pleasant to drive than my previous car; the reliability will become apparent in due course.

Only had the car for 2 weeks and very pleased with what modern technology offers. So many gadgets to get used to and so many safety features.

A good solid car with comfortable front seats and plenty of luggage space, good headroom. Reliable, and not expensive to run even though it is nearly ten years old now.

Do I need to say any more than this is the 10th new Golf I have owned and I have not had a spot of trouble with any of them.

It does what it is told when accelerating, braking, steering. Controls are in the right place. Cabin heating/cooling system very good. Fluids rarely need topping up. Cofortablr for driver and passengers.

First registered 1994 but it's still like a new car to me.

It is a good, solid, reliable car. I have owned other cars but only ever bought those particular makes once. I have owned five VW`s. One Polo and four Golfs. I keep them about three years after buying them at six to nine months old.

VWs are just great cars. Very comfortable, economical and above all reliable. I also consider them very safe to drive. They have excellent visibility even for a shorter person (I'm only 5'2). Would recommend them to anyone.

We have bought 6 golfs over the last thirty years, all from brand new. I need say no more.

I have driven all sorts and makes of cars and believe that this is the best one ever. It is comfortable, holds the road very well, reliable and great fun to drive. It is a new innovative model full of extras. There is not a manual handbrake but the car automatically performs all the functions. I am now completely used to this and think it is great. Fuel efficiency is greatly enhanced with this Blue Motion version which cuts off fuel at lights and restarts automatically when the clutch is engaged. It also works automatically when parked on a hill!

Lovely solid little car - perfect for running errands - newer models are better on petrol consumption and I feel relatively positive that my next car will be a Golf too.
