I would like to point out that this is the best car I have ever driven. The biggest pro is that it will NEVER I mean NEVER leave you stranded on the road. It is a car that actually doesn't brake down by itself on any account. (except for the battery which lasts 3 years to the day, but that will be one very cold Monday morning in front of your home, so you'll be safe). The only thing that broke down by itself was some plastic ring on the gearshift after the second year and the Suzuki service replaced it within 2 minutes and it never happened again. The engine has 120HP and its very powerful for that chassis so you can overtake any slow vehicle, just shift one gear down press on the accelerator and off you go. There are strong front and rear disk brakes, so don't worry about stopping after you overtake, it simply stops in a second. The seating is very comfortable for its class and long hours on the seats are not a problem, for front and rear. There is nice cubicle forming after you fold the rear seats twice. It is flat and spacy, you can fit in a washing machine easyly with extra space on the side and on top. It is very practical for those handyman jobs for your cottage or the house that you rent. With couple of crossbars on the rooftop for the long ladder or planks. With the 250L luggage compartment you can pack four adults, but only if they pack Japanese style with four softbags and four rucksacks, up to the lid. It can fit one child family with the trolley in the front passenger seat, luggage in the trunk and smalls on the lid over the trunk. But for two child family there must be extra luggage space on the roof rack, the trunk will only fit the two trolleys. Yet again SX4 is a city car. The only design flaw, actually the only three design flaws of this car are divided in one big, one small and one optional flaw. The big one is that this car has an A,B,C and D pillar post holding the roof. The B post is the bugger. It can hide a pedestrian when he doesn't present himself at the zebra and just walkes through, he can appear just before your front when its actually too late. Or it can obstruct a whole car coming from left or right. So you have to be very carefull at those zebra crossings and crossings without trafic lights, just look around the B post if there is anyone out there. Roundabouts are not a problem. The small one is that this car is designed for a four wheel drive and if you buy a two wheel drive like myself, you will find the brake pad on the driver's side wearing out much quicker than the one on the passengers side. For the same issue I would reccomend to change to Michelin tires as they are traditionally with soft grip to overcome the front wheels spinning out of control when you try come up or down an large incline. The optional one is try to get any colour besides gray, because it melts down with the asfalt when low visibility appers, combined with the strong brakes, it is very easy for some reckless driver to hit you from the behind. It happened to me three times so far. Hence I try not to make rapid brakes in strong trafic. The Suzuki service is cheap as well as the parts and you need it for regular maintanence. The only way the Suzuki service will make money out of you is if you have a car accident. The fuel consumption on this engine is around 8 l/100km for urban drive and 5.5 l/100km for extra urban with 90km/h and 6.5 with 120km/h. But if you are keen on pressing the pedal it can become very thirsty well in exess of these values. All in all this is an excellent car which I never plan to sell, because hothing can go wrong with it and its very practical.
