Hindsight shows I got the wrong car. I need an automatic for mobility reasons but the high emissions and the petrol consumption are very high. I (We) are retired so do not do many longer journeys now so our usage does not encourage fuel economy. Being pensioners cannot really afford to change car as would get poor part exchange deal. Should have investigated market more thoroughly before purchase, but having always used Ford cars, at the time thought I had a good purchase. Liked the car, liked the automatic gears, liked the comfort. At time of purchase did longer journeys to visit grandchildren etc. Now circumstances have changed and realise should have got smaller automatic with LOWER EMMISION engine. My own fault I suppose but perhaps could have received better advice from Ford seller!

Now retired so I have down-sized from a Ford Mondeo to a Ford Focus and now to a Ford Fiesta. More "roomy" and comfortable than I had expected. I had, however, to chose the "Titanium" model to get all the specifications that I required (or was used to). I chose the new "Ecoboost" engine because it had "Stop/Start" technology and a reduced carbon emission engine. This engine (999cc) also meant no Road Tax - under present Government Legislation. Engine not fully "run-in" yet but I am getting 46 miles per gallon now compared with around 36 mpg with my Focus. I do mainly short urban journeys with one motorway 70 mile journey per week (on average) - so I am happy with my mpg - although it is a lot less than advertised (based on "rolling-road" conditions. Totally reliable so far but it is only three months old with a recorded 1,650 miles. Paintwork ("Frozen White") is free of defects; I purchased a touch-in pen at delivery, hand wash the car weekly (using a lambskin mitt and two separate "buckets" with a grit filter in the bottom of each); clean water in one for rincing and Shampoo in the other. Bought a full size spare wheel as an extra as there was only a puncture seal kit as standard; I did this because a colleague had a "blow-out" shortly after I purchased the car - and a repair outfit would have been useless! Looks well and is a pleasure to drive and park. Ford garage network extensive and convenient. An ideal car for the needs of my wife and I now that we are retired with no family at home.

I purchased my car in August 2000 for £6000, it was two years old and had travelled 11,000 miles. It has a heated windscreen and rear window, air conditioning, hardly any rust and was treated to alloy wheels last year. It still has its original radio and tape deck, which work as well as ever. It now has 162,000 miles on the clock (well 62000 now it is second time around) and has cost a fair old amount of money over the years but this all fades to nothing when I think of the adventures it has been on, the places it has seen and the pleasure it has given me. It is now rather sick and I am told it could be piston rings so I am at that stage when I have to make a terrible decision whether to spend more money on it or send it to the great breakers yard in the sky. Which ever way it goes I will always remember this car as the best I have ever had over my fifty year of driving and I will cry if it has to go, because I LOVE MY CAR.

I have had the Ford Fiesta since 2009 from new and have had a few small problems with it. Seat belt frayed stereo button on the steering wheel stopped working and would not dead lock on one side but was all covered under warranty and sorted. This car is very comfy for long journeys and running costs are very good I would happily buy another one.

This is one of the most practical cars I have ever owned. It is easy to drive cheap to run and very reliable. I have only had one problem in the whole time I have owned the car and that was a flat battery which was speedily replaced with the help of the AA. I would recommend the Ford Fiesta.

Excellent car. A real pleasure to drive. Much better performance than the low advertised power and torque figures would suggest. Good quality build standard.

Bought as a second car to travel to and from work, a round trip of 30 miles, the 1.6 zetec S has proven to be a great buy. Great round town but equally at home on the country roads, the car packs enough power for motorway driving too. Superb handling and a reasonable return from a full tank of fuel make the fiesta a great all rounder, the 1600 engine returns over 40mpg on a variety of roads and journeys. The sports suspension can be a little harsh depending on the type of road and quality of the surface but the cabin comfort compensate a fair bit. Overall very happy with the car, does everything we need it to and some..

I got this car when it was 3 years old from a dealer. It has proved to be reliable over the 9000 miles i have driven it. My only complaint is that the seats become uncomfortable after about an hours driving.

Although I have only had this car a short time (5 weeks), I have driven it over 500 miles. The car is comfortable and its mpg is excellent. Although it is only 1250cc the performance is very good - my last car was 2 ltr and I thought it would not compare but I have been very pleasantly surprised.

Had my Fiesta now for five years and I love it! Had several Fiestas years ago, then Focuses, then decided on a Fiesta again. How much bigger and better they are now to my earlier ones. I frequently manage to take four ladies and their luggage for a week's holiday in my car!! It's perfectly, comfortable, performance is good and luggage space for a small car is good too. Loooove it. Would definitely have another one if/when I change cars next.

My car is very reliable and keeps going however it is very expensive to run but is great around town as it is small and easy to park.

This is a very basic Ford Fiesta that has never given me a moments trouble and that I find perfectly adequate, comfortable and cost effective. I use it daily for work and do an average of 600 miles per month. When I change my car the next time I would definitely think of buying another Fiesta although maybe a larger sized engine - the only thing mine lacks is a little power on steep hills.

I have found my vehicle reliable on the whole although I am experiencing problems at the moment where a light is showing me that my passenger rear door is open when it is not. I would definitely consider buying another Fiesta in the future.

I love my little diesel fiesta, fab on long journeys, very very efficient. Traded performance for running costs, but well worth it as it saves me a fortune! Has not let me down once.
