Founded in Italy as ALFA, the 24 HP was Alfa Romeo’s first car. The Italian brand has its roots in motorsports with numerous domination stories throughout the early days. When World War disrupted production, Nicola Romeo took over business leading to Alfa Romeo. However, with increasing political tension, the Government of Italy took over the brand from Nicola and production was later halted in 1944 after a bombing.
In 1970, after the second world war and numerous Grand Prix success, the brand launched the revolutionary Alfasud – a front-wheel-drive hatchback that was packaged brilliantly to open up space. Later in 1986, the brand was sold to Fiat. Meanwhile, Alfa Romeo constantly developed gorgeous sports cars and iconic models making it a brand loved by petrolheads across the globe. Some iconic models include the Guilia, Giulietta, 33, 8C, 4C, Sprint GTA, 155, 159, Spider, etc.
Presently, Alfa Romeo has bounced back after a small hiatus with models such as the Guilia sedan, Tonale, Junior and the Stelvio.
