Expert Opinion

A predecessor to the range of Hyundais that now positions the Korean manufacturers as one of the fastest growing, and most dependable makes around, the Getz is a compact, affordable supermini which, although no longer in production, is an attractive and affordable option. With just a 1.1 litre engine the Getz is no rubber burner, but it manages enough power to make it a competent around-town car, although when pushed - or with a full load - it can feel strained. Yet, affordable to buy and with good run costs, it makes for an adequate and economic supermini, well worth searching out on the used market.
