It’s a popular SUV in the class, with a decent blend of spaciousness, comfort and value, making it a strong contender for young families and those seeking a capable all-rounder. Available exclusively as a five-door SUV, the Karoq is a traditional offering and not as cutting-edge as some rivals, but is nevertheless a capable model in a very crowded class.

Recent decades have seen Czech brand Skoda undergo something of an image change. The outfit has transformed public perceptions with a swathe of interesting and funky offerings, especially in the world of SUVs. Sitting below the larger Karoq and Kodiaq, the Kamiq was designed to go up against the likes of the Nissan Juke, Volkswagen T-Cross and Peugeot 2008 in the extremely crowded compact SUV segment.
