New Bentley proves brand is not behind the times

While its name may be infused with heritage and history, the Bentley brand has sent a message to the automotive industry that it has not fallen behind the times, in the shape of the new Brooklands coupe.

The new car, which was introduced to the world at the Geneva motor show, represents a landmark in Bentley’s heritage as it features the most powerful V8 engine in the manufacturer’s history.

Acceleration matching that of a supercar and 530bhp are generated by the massive 6.75-litre unit, which functions with a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Inside the new car is hide-trimmed roof lining, aluminium pedals and a choice of woods and leathers to characterise the cabin.

There are also individual, electrically adjustable seats in the back which offer an abundance of head and legroom.

Bentley fans who are eager to get their hands on this impressive new machine will have to be quick, however, as when it is delivered early next year only 550 models will be available.
