It’s best known for its lively engines, elegant looks and rare blend of true sports car performance with everyday practicality. The convertible version of Maserati’s GranTurismo model, the GranCabrio is built for drivers who love luxury and performance with wind-in-the-hair freedom. Owners praise its punchy acceleration, rival-beating rear seat space and the sense of sheer exclusivity every time you get behind the wheel. The model first launched in 2010, with a new generation arriving in 2024 featuring updated engines, improved interiors and the latest tech – plus a blisteringly fast all-electric version to boot. Compared with rivals like the Mercedes-AMG SL or Aston Martin DB12 Volante, the GranCabrio matches sharp looks with more useable rear seat space, though the ride quality can be a touch firmer. Today, the GranCabrio comes with either a twin-turbo V6 petrol or all-electric Folgore version. But most examples on the used market will be from the previous generation, powered by a V8 and also available in the higher-performance Sport and MC variants.
