All Cupra Terramar models are packed with safety tech, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. It's been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP rating, thanks to strong protection for both adults and children, plus its advanced driver assist systems.

There's a choice of a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol (front-wheel drive), 2.0-litre turbo petrols (all-wheel drive) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) 1.5-litre engines. The PHEVs share a battery with the VW Tiguan and can go around 70 miles on electric power alone. No diesel or fully electric versions are available.

Every Cupra Terramar comes with a standard 12.9‑inch touchscreen, wireless phone charging and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. You also get a 10.25‑inch digital driver’s display and physical steering wheel controls – though some climate and hybrid functions are managed via touchscreen only. On upper trims or with options, you can add a head‑up display and the immersive Sennheiser premium audio package.

The 1.5 eTSI mild-hybrid can return up to 46mpg, while the 2.0 AWD version averages between 33-37mpg. Plug-in hybrids can travel over 70 miles on electric power and achieve 50+mpg in real-world driving if you charge regularly. Expect lower figures if it's mostly driven on petrol.

The Cupra Terramar is a fairly new model, so long-term reliability data is still building. That said, it shares parts and tech with the latest VW and Skoda SUVs, which are well proven. Some of the newer safety and electrical features might be have some hiccups, but a five-year, 90,000-mile warranty helps ease concerns – especially if you're buying nearly new.
