The young Brit pointed out that the 2008 season has differed from the previous season in that "everybody’s results have been more varied and every driver who has won a race has also failed to score on at least two other occasions".
He said: "I think we’ll see consistency becoming crucial as we head towards the end of the season."
"The most important thing is to finish consistently in the points."
All the Formula One drivers have been recharging their batteries during the three-week summer break before next weekend’s Valencia Grand Prix.
But with the sport looking to expand and add more cities (such as Valencia) to its itinerary, it could be the last summer break they enjoy for a while.
If this is the case it is sure to cause some disquiet among drivers, mechanics and organisers as the season started in March.
