VCARS driver Tom Sharp travels to Hampshire’s Thruxton Race Track this weekend hoping to continue his outstanding start to the Ginetta GT SuperCup season.
After winning five of the six previous races, Tom will be hoping to extend his hefty lead in Ginetta GT Supercup races seven, eight and nine.
Currently sitting on 201 points, some 66 points ahead of second place, Tom commented: “Thruxton is a circuit I always look forward to driving as it’s like nowhere else we visit and has a real flow to it. The test session went well for us and we seem to have found something that works around the high speed circuit so I’m confident well be on the pace as we head straight into qualifying.”

Ginetta names first Grid Girl
GT SuperCup will have its own Grid Girl for the first time this weekend. Chelsea Davis is set to don the famous Ginetta catsuit at Thruxton, after edging Rebeka Gates in round one of the 2012 Ginetta grid girl search.
20-year old Chelsea will make the journey from Bristol this weekend confirmed; “Thank you to everyone who voted. I am so excited and looking forward to being a part of it. I love motor racing and regularly come to the BTCC weekends so to be the grid girl for Ginetta at such a prestigious motorsport event is fantastic!”
