Breakdown providers Green Flag are painting a recognisable livery onto all of their patrol vehicles in an effort to help customers identify their ‘knights of the road’.
Green flag operates a fleet of 400 vehicles.
Dan Robinson, head of Green Flag, says: "We expect the first vehicle to be on the road by the end of July 2008.
"We do a fantastic job 24/7 and now our customers will see this and feel more secure and confident in the quality and integrity of Green Flag. We want customers to identify and have a positive association with Green Flag. A brand they can see and trust when out on the road."
With a recent survey showing that four out of five young female motorists (81 per cent) can’t change a tyre the reliance upon breakdown services looks set to continue.
