New research from GM Fleet has found that an overwhelming majority of women would place an in-built satellite navigation device at the top of their wish list when it comes to choosing options for their next car.
The survey quizzed 1,000 female drivers about their criteria when specifying vehicles.
A satellite navigation system was the top must-have option for 30 per cent of the poll participants. Second was an upgrade to their current music system with either an iPod or MP3 dock (17 per cent), and the third preference was climate control (15 per cent).
When it comes to the factors ranked important in the buying process, sun roofs, parking sensors and infotainment systems all scored highly, although only ten per cent listed environmental credentials or lower fuel consumption as being on their buying tick list.
Climate control gathered 26 per cent of the votes as a consideration factor, but far and away the one thing that lady drivers can’t do without – with 46 per cent of votes – is their stereos.
