A specialist auction of classic cars will take place at the Brooklands Motor Museum on the afternoon of Thursday June 5th 2008.
A 1937 Austin Ruby and a host of other pre-war vehicles, some fully restored, and others needing completion will be sold as well as a 1971 Porsche Carrera replica and other 1970s and 1980s models.
"The appeal of the classic has widened enormously in the last few years," confirmed Robin Lawton, head of classics from BCA (British Car Auctions). "This year’s sale at the historic Brooklands Motoring Museum will offer a good variety of vehicles, from the vintage era to modern thoroughbreds."
Possibly the most unusual of the auction lots is the ‘Quadricycle’ which was essentially a motorised link for a bicycle, tricycle or cart enabling it to become engine-driven.
