The most popular vehicles leased to employees over the course of 2007 have been revealed by a company car firm.
According to Lex, the Vauxhall Astra was the top car out of its fleet, followed by the Ford Focus.
This is the first time the Astra has taken the number one spot since 2001, although it has not been out of the top five vehicles since.
Rounding off the first five vehicles are the Vauxhall Vectra, Audi A3 and Ford Mondeo, the firm added.
Steve Jones, pricing manager at Lex, commented that it is no surprise that the smaller vehicles on the market have proven to be among the most desirable.
He said: "The last few times we have carried out this analysis a Focus/Golf/Astra sized car has proven the most popular fleet car."
The Vauxhall Astra replaced the Vauxhall Viva model when it was originally introduced to the UK market in February 1980.
