I have a 2007 Golf 1.9TDI Sport and sometimes wile driving on motorways usually, the car suddenly loses power and it feels like the turbo isn't working but after a stop and switching the engine off it drives normally. Any ideas what it could be as sometimes it could be dangerous if it happens while overtaking and power is suddenly lost. Thanks Abbi

It sounds like the car might be going into ‘limp home’ mode though you don’t mention any warning lights.
You need a garage to run a diagnostic check to see what fault codes have been stored as these will give a clue as to where the problem is. Without fault codes there are just too many possibilities for me to even suggest anything.
