It's a stylish compact hatchback with an elevated ride height, minus the bulk of a full SUV. This is a car for drivers who want a bit more head-turning pizazz than a regular hatchback, but still appreciate everyday practicality. The Crossback look first appeared on DS 4 variants in 2015, with a full redesign in 2021. Models from 2021 onwards offer rugged styling, a premium interior, and a choice of petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid (E-TENSE) powertrains. Compared to competitors like the Audi Q3 or Cupra Formentor, the DS 4 stands out with its French design language and emphasis on comfort. Highlights include a plush cabin, comfortable ride, strong technology on higher trims, and a raised driving position, while retaining a hatchback-like boot and interior layout.
