Renault Megane RS a worthy challenger to the Ford Focus [MEGANE]

Following the release of the Ford Focus RS, Renault has now released its challenger to the market, a review has stated.

Writing for the Sun, Phil Lanning believes that the French manufacturer has been "gripped by yellow fever" following its release of the appropriately named Renault Megane RS.

The vehicle was one of seven premiered by Renault at the Geneva Motor Show, but was the "star of the show", according to Mr Lanning.

He continues that the Focus will be challenged by the Megane’s 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, while the car is also amazing to look at.

Its striking yellow paintwork is combined with a piano black trim and a muscular bodykit, while RS badges and "cool" black alloys help to complete the look.

In terms of performance, the vehicle is expected to fly to 60 miles per hour from standstill in under six seconds, although official figures are yet to be revealed.

According to Top Gear, the Megane RS "looks deeply, deeply excellent", with the nice touch of big arches that "morph into brake vents at the back".
