Ford Focus voted Britain’s Best Used Car of 2008

The Ford Focus has scooped some more top prizes handed out by used car experts.

More space will have to be cleared in the Ford boardroom trophy cabinet to display awards given out by What Car? whose panel of experts voted the Focus as being Best Small Family Car and Britain’s Best Used Car of 2008.

Explaining the decision, Matt Sanger, the What Car? used car editor, said: "It’s impossible to argue against the Ford Focus when you see exactly what you get for your money.

"Just £5,200 will buy you a car that’s great to drive, practical, reliable and cheap to run. What more could you want?"

Auto Express seems to share this admiration for the Focus. Its panel of experts, which included Jeff Paterson from industry trade bible Glass’s Guide and car trader-turned TV presenter Mike Brewer, also picked the Focus as being Britain’s Best Used Car.

Their statement said: "When it came to picking an overall winner, there was no argument. The Focus offers an unbeatable all-round package."
