LEVC is best known for the London taxi, but it also builds the VN5, a range-extended electric van designed for city work. It can run on electric power for short trips, with an onboard generator to extend range when you need to travel further.

LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) moved from taxis into vans with the VN5, built in the UK and aimed squarely at urban operators. The VN5 launched in 2020 as a practical answer to a common electric-van problem: range anxiety. It drives as an electric vehicle for local journeys, then uses a small onboard range-extender to generate power when the battery is low.
In the used market, the VN5 tends to suit couriers, service engineers and fleets working in clean air zones who still need the flexibility to travel further when required. It stands out from typical small vans because of its taxi-derived platform and its “electric-first” approach. If you want low-emission urban running without being limited to charging stops, LEVC is a distinctive option.
