High Specification VW Racing / Camper Van Conversion

For sale is our very special VW van, professionally built as a high-quality racing / camper conversion. This was not a budget project. The van was built for our own use, with reliability, practicality and quality as the main priorities.
The van has had only 2 owners from new, and we have owned it since 23/01/2020.
It is ULEZ exempt as a special vehicle, making it much more practical and cost-effective to use in and around London.
The van has not been registered as a camper van / motor caravan so far, although this can be applied for by the new owner if required, subject to DVLA requirements. We decided to keep it registered as a van, as this suited the way we used it and allowed us to use it as a regular van for travelling to race tracks, while still having all the camper-style facilities inside.
We purchased the van from a company that manufactured carbon kayaks and used it mainly for deliveries to Germany. The van came from the factory with only a driver's seat, so it was never used as a typical heavy-load work van. Although it had high mileage when we bought it, this was not a concern, as we knew it was mainly motorway mileage and the van had not been used for carrying heavy goods.
It also came factory-fitted with cruise control and air conditioning, which is unusual for this model and made it the perfect base vehicle for our racing van project.
Mechanical Condition
We used the van for kart racing, travelling to tracks all over the UK. Because reliability was extremely important to us, we rebuilt the engine and replaced all key auxiliary components using genuine VW parts only.
The van has covered only around 30, 000 miles since the engine rebuild and has never let us down.
