The most attractive quality of the Malaysian manufacturer is arguably that they are incredibly affordable. Basic but with some semi-stylish models, there are aspects which make them appealing, but in the UK there are other well-priced options which often push Protons into the peripherals of the public's interest. All used Proton on the AA Cars website come with free 12 months breakdown cover.
Rating 6 Proton ReviewsProton's city car option, the Savvy, is a relatively stylish and efficient car that manages to fit in space for four doors and passengers, despite being on the small side. Slightly bigger is the Gen-2, which comes in either family hatchback or saloon form, and provides decent space for driver and luggage needs. Both cars are on the budget end of the pricing scale, and while this certainly makes them more attractive than some of their pricier rivals, they do suffer somewhat on quality. As a unique and affordable alternative to the more mainstream cars however, they stand out.
