On a more mechanical level, we’d advise checking out the car’s tyres and brakes to ensure that the former has enough tread, and that the latter operates in a smooth fashion. If you’d like a more detailed view, then an AA Vehicle Inspection could help. We’ll send out a trained engineer to take a look at the car and they’ll be able to provide a detailed report highlighting their findings.
How can I verify the service history of a used car?

There are some measures you can take to verify a car’s service history. Ask for receipts relating to any work that has taken place and, if you need to, you could call garages that have been listed to see if they remember working on the vehicle. It could be a good idea to pay for a vehicle check, too, which can highlight if a car has previously been written off, stolen or if it has any outstanding finance.
