Mitsubishi launches Black Hawk

Mitsubishi has announced the launch of new Black Hawk special editions of its Colt model, with three-door and CZT versions available.

As the name suggests, the models will come only in black, but will be characterised by two silver stripes running from front to back, over the bonnet, roof and tailgate.

The entry-level Black Hawk will feature Mitsubishi’s 1124cc, three-cylinder engine, which offers "pocket-friendly motoring", with an economy rate of 50mpg and an insurance group rating of 3E.

A turbocharged, 1468cc engine, capable of reaching a top speed of 132mph, will power the Black Hawk CZT model.

All equipment levels that are available with the top-of-the-range Colt will also be on offer in the CZT, including sports seats, a rear tailgate spoiler, front fog lamps, sports grille and a six-speaker sound system.

A set of 17-inch diameter, seven-inch wide alloy wheels are also fitted on these models.

Buyers eager to get their hands on a Black Hawk will be able to find them at Mitsubishi dealers around the country, but will have to be quick as only 400 have been produced.
