Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda has announced that it has increased sales and production of its vehicles over the past year.
The company commented that it catered to 23.33 million customers across the world last year, which marks a three per cent increase on 2006.
It added that its efforts in China saw it record a 31 per cent sales increase to 428,000 units while in Europe a 23 per cent rise resulted in 480,000 vehicles sold.
Honda stated that the figures represent a "substantial increment" on figures from one year previous.
"These increases took place outside of Japan, representing the continued success in Hondas global policy of producing close to those markets where demand exists," the firm commented.
Honda today announced that its Young Driver team for 2008 will be Mike Conway and Luca Filippi.
Briton Conway said he is "really pleased" at his continued allegiance with the manufacturer.
