Toyota Auris TR introduces new engine

The lightweight, economic 1.4 D-4D 90 promises to be smooth and highly efficient, delivering strong fuel economy and low emissions.

There are now four engines in the range, it already has the 1.4 VVT-i and 1.6 VVT-i petrol units and the 2.0 D-4D 130 diesel.

Available now, the 1.4 D-4D 90’s top speed is 109mph and 62mph can be reached from a standing start in just 12.0 seconds.

Its official combined cycle fuel consumption is 56.5mpg and CO2 emissions are 132g/km – Band C for vehicle excise duty.

Its makers claim that the engine is ideally suited to life in stop-start urban traffic. MultiMode transmission is available, offering the choice of fully automatic or manual sequential gear change.

Auris TR models boast 16-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, front fog lamps and automatic air conditioning.

They also have blue Tatami interior trim, chrome detailing on the rear bodywork and heated electrically adjustable door mirrors.
