Hamilton looking forward to Japan

Lewis Hamilton is looking forward to his next Formula One race in Japan at one of his favourite circuits.

Speaking to his official website, Hamilton recalled that he had some "awesome experiences in Japan" last year.

He said: "I love the place, a circuit on the side of a mountain sounds crazy but it’s one of the best places in the world for a racetrack."

But it’s the Japanese fans that he loves most of all.

"They’re some of the most passionate and committed I’ve ever met. And I’d love them to have a nicer experience than last year when they were drenched for most of the weekend, so it would be good to have some sunshine this time!"

Hamilton is used to driving in the rain this season although the last race in Singapore was rain-free despite occurring in the monsoon season.

The 23-year-old Brit feels that his team’s decision to make him stick to European time in the run-up to the Singapore night race paid handsome dividends.

"Your body clock is trying to tell you to sleep when it’s dark, but after a night or two it felt like the most natural thing to do," he said.
